A workshop by Jennifer R. Lloyd, executive editor and thought leadership strategist. At the upcoming IMPACT Summit, execuive editor Jennifer R. Lloyd will lead a hands-on workshop teaching nonprofits how to craft compelling 60-second impact stories. Participants will learn to create adaptable narratives that can transform their outreach across multiple platforms.
"The most powerful stories are both authentic and adaptable," Lloyd will explain. "When you can articulate your impact in under a minute, you've created a tool that can transform your outreach across every platform."
Attendees will develop strategies for tailoring their core stories for email campaigns, social media, video scripts, and media pitches. Through interactive exercises, participants will create actual content they can implement immediately.
By the session's end, each attendee will have a refined impact story and integration strategy ready for use. Lloyd's approach combines her journalism expertise with her expertise driving impact at St. Mary’s University and beyond. As the founder of Thought Bubble Studio, she has helped executives craft compelling personal brands, and she has provided advice to nonprofits working with the MLP+ Consulting Group.
Jennifer will be joined by Trisha Box. Trisha Box, a native Texan born and raised in San Antonio who now resides in New Braunfels, holds a Communications degree from UTSA. With 30 years of fundraising and communications experience, her career spans notable organizations including the Epilepsy Foundation and American Red Cross, where she served as Public Information Officer for local, state, and national disasters—including onsite work during Hurricane Katrina. Today, Trisha works as a non-profit consultant specializing in donor relationship management, grant writing, targeted fundraising strategies, sustainable development planning, and program evaluation.
